Permanent Fingerprints Of Elvis

August 10, 2003 | Other
'Fingerprints Of Elvis’, the first definitive exhibition of Elvis outside of the USA, is to be launched on Friday 15th August as a permanent new feature on Liverpool’s Albert Docks (UK).

The exhibition provides the an account of Elvis Presley’s life – bringing together a large selection of The King’s memorabilia outside of the USA, alongside detailed accounts and first hand personal insights from friends and family, including his step-brother and Memphis Mafia member David Stanley. Items on display include Elvis's last Harley Davidson, his actual fingerprints and even a prototype of the gravestone.

The launching of the permanent Elvis Museum in Liverpool coincides with a Midnight Vigil on August 15th, when the public can lay flowers on Elvis’ prototype gravestone and pay their last respects.

Crawfish, The details were advertised in one of the Sunday papers and also on teletext. I think apparently the exhibition is going to be a permanent fixture in Liverpool. I think David Stanley, Elvis's step brother is the person responsible, . I was really interested until I read David Stanley discussing what Elvis looked like when he was laying dead, and I was quite disgusted!

This exhibition has not been advertised in UK hardly at all. How long is it going on for - anyone know? Thanks.

Thanks Tracy. Obviously missed the papers!! Did you hear DS on Noel Edmonds last night; makes your skin crawl really to hear him say "No-one misses Elvis like me"!! In a world of his own I am afraid! Thanks for the info. though I may venture to Liverpool - has anyone else been and is it worth the visit? (The thing that put me off is that there was a replica of Elvis' gravestone, yuk!). I was lucky enough to visit the real thing again in June. Any comments on the Liverpool exhibition please?
