Joe Petruccio is a world renowned and EPE recognised artist. This particular water color is near 10X13 in size and has been professionally matted with acid free double matting, and framed to perfection.
This is an Original Piece, and it comes with a handwritten letter from the Artist himself attesting to the fact this piece was painted just for the Ebay seller. Joe Petruccio Artwork can be found in several Art galleries across the United States.
That looks great! Very impressive. Normally when I know I'm about to see some Elvis artwork I feel myself tense up in expectation of somehting dreadful but that looks the business.
...and that's the wonder...the wonder of PhotoShop.
I would pay max. $5 for it. But only if they offer free postage.
I always appreciate Joe's art. If I had the $ I would bid on it.
What is the price of this rubbish? If it's more expensive than a toilet paper roll then i won't buy it.
Why such negative comments...I bet most of you can't even draw a straight line!
I am very surprised to see the few negative comments concerning my artwork. Calling it rubbish and saying that I use photoshop program instead of painting this freehand is quite saddening. I assure you there is no computer work here. I'm sorry that some find my work not to their liking but just wanted you to know that your words here have offended me deeply. I love Elvis and try to pay him homage in my work. Thank you to all of you who enjoy it. It is for you that I keep painting The King and will continue to do so for years to come. Love n Peace, Joe
Hi Joepet . You can't please 'em all. Personnaly I like your art very much, and I'm convinced I'm not the only one. So don't let some , let's say " not too kind " remarks spoil your day(s) or life.
Wishing you all the best, and... keep on creating !!! Always El.
I apprecaite art and artists. How many people do you know that can even paint by numbers? I'd rather have this than most of the Elvis licensed products that come out.
not usually a fan of artists, pefer photos but I gotta say Joe is the best!...I'd have any of his art on my wall. thought the negative stuff was hurtful and unneccessary...mama used to say if you can't say nothing good don't say nothing!
Art is a matter of taste. Joepet, I sincerely hope that you don't let abusing remarks under your skin. For some here it is not enough to say that they don't like something.
Thanks for all of you KIND words. It's not that I don't have a thick skin ...I do. I just found it weird coming from an "Elvis fan". We are all so , usually, supportive of each other. Displaying many of the qualities we find in Elvis in ourselves. We are always there to pick each other up when we are down and give each other a pat on the back when things are good. The comments just weren't very "Elvis-like". True fans know exactly what I'm talking about. I love you all Peace Joe
"I love you all" - Oh... If you love us so much then why do you ask hundreds of dollars for your so called paintings? The picture above was copied from a photo. Is it art? And where is the creativity? Leonardo's Mona Lisa is art,but this one... well... i'm not sure in it and now i was VERY polite.
Zoltan84. Why should you question what he asks for his paintings. You're not obviously buying any. Should he be giving them away? Let's see what you can. Maybe you can send one of your originals & we can compare them. Hey buddy I guess not.
Joe, ignore the usual morons who out of envy, jealousy and spite have to criticise everything, not just your work. Not sure how much you charge for your work, but would really be interested in buying some. I love 'And I Love You So' on your website, also the idea of painting images over song scores - very neat! As for idiots comparing your work to the Mona Lisa, just shows how ignorant they are! Zoltan's argument is self-defeating as b his own definition, the Mona Lisa can't be counted as art either, as the painting is taken from sketches Leonardo made of Lisa del Giocondo. Zoltan would you say Warhol's 'Eight Elvises' is art? That was made of silkscreen copies of a still from 'Flaming Star' and sold for $100 million!
Zoltan84 : so this time you were VERY polite? Better become even politer in the future 'cause your language is still agressive. Is it really that difficult to give comment without being offensive ? As for the posting of davrid : I fully agree ! Always El.
Mea culpa. It's really not fair to judge this or any other non-digital work of art based upon a 223x223 pixel picture from an eBay seller. The art is based upon an iconic photograph of Elvis from my favorite point in his career.
As to comments about the price, art (which includes painting, music, writing, etc.) is worth whatever people are willing to pay for it. A line from Deke Rivers in Loving You comes to mind: "I usually get paid for singing as a rule." Not everything can be free.
Thank you Troy! Peace Joe
To Troy1975 : hats off ! Always el.
Money better spent on a 1964 Pontiac GTO.
JP563 really like your art work of Elvis thanks for all you do and keep up the good work.
I only wish I had viewed this article earlier so many of our members would consider my opinion. Being a student of watercolor, I do recognize a "good paint". When it comes to the interpretation of Elvis in the late 60's and 70's Joe Petruccio (in my opibion) has "sacred status" with his watercolor's! No one produces the effect's and nuance's of Elvis' image and celebrity personality with the electricity and living image that this man can. FS MI
