The opening show on should take place on December 16th. 2009 and is by invitation only. The official public premiere should now be on what would have been Elvis' 75th birthday; January 8th. 2010. The shows running up to that will be trial shows.

This could be absolutely cracking! A great CD ( like 'Love' by The Beatles) would be fantastic.

I don't know if the Elvis image will come thru as well as the Beatles in the cirque shows....I hope so, because the Beatles Love show was great! It seems as tho the Beatles songs were geared perfectly for a show like cirque du soleil....no clue how Elvis songs will be portrayed....except to recreate a jailhouse rock on stage / a 68 comeback look on stage, etc......

Better read up on the history of the cirque shows. It's terribly hard to tumble or swing from a trapeze in a tutu. And Barry Manilow & the Beatles do not do either. However, the rest of us might wear tutus in support! We will be all too happy to give you our review of this awesome show (even though I personally don't care for common circus acts).

Even in death, Elvis is permanently on the Las Vegas treadmill that killed him. Otherwise, and less darlky, it's a neat way to keep the "brand" alive in Vegas. Having been there recently again, it's a bit annoying to see Billboards for the 'Beetles and Beards" in what for so long was Elvis territory.
