As far s i understand there will be a booklet with informations from bob lanning about the rehearsals. ...

This shows that ernst, the man who is unable to create a logical concept and doesn't know the meaning of the term "quality control" at least recognised that there is a difference between a shi#y 74-76 soundboard and a professional recording of elvis in his prime, that it would be unworthy to release great stuff like this in the same maner as the usual "we don't give a fu#k" concert releases..

I too would've liked the songs in a more orderly appearance. Why use the last 3 unreleased songs as bonuses from the Feb 16 M/S which already was used for the first 3 tracks ? I think it would've been better to use the whole recording of that show which included the tracks used for the long deleted Writing For The King with an improved mix. Being a 7" package will this contain a booklet ?

Well, as I wrote before, I am happy with the previously unreleased tracks. But if this should be a successor for the FTD-versoin of On Stage, then this is not enough! From Feb.19 DS there are at least 8 songs, but we just get those 3 we already had (from TTaF & PSA(FTD)), but I think all songs should have been released on a 2nd disc in their original sequence as recorded.
And I also would have liked all 6 (or 7?) songs from Feb.16 DS in their original sequence, even they contain 2 masters from On Stage. And why? Because I think the mix on „Writing for The King“ is terrible (which included 3 songs from this DS).
Also the other 3 songs we had before on TTaF & PSA(FTD) from the Feb.17 MS could have been included here for completeness. 8+6+3 songs make a 2nd disc.
We will get all 6 songs from the Feb.16 MS, I like this!
Also we will get all songs from the Feb.17 DS, which I like, too, but nobody mentioned that „Kentucky Rain“ was released before on „Writing for The King“ (maybe because it is wrongly dated here? Have a look At Keith Flynn’s site for this information).
On the other hand, „The Wonder Of You“ from Feb.18 MS we not only had on „30 No.1 Hits“, but also on the the FTD-versoin of On Stage, and on PSA(FTD). So how many mixes do we need?
It would have been easy to fill 2 discs, which would have been a real successor for the FTD-versoin of On Stage. So this is why I am only partly satisfied with this kind of release.

This really does seem like a great release. With this FTD-release Sony/RCA/FTD have released everything they have from this Vegas stand, except the February 19 Dinner Show. Why has that show not been included on a second disc? Now, we still have to track down a bootleg, if we want to listen to those songs... A missed opportunity, but I'll definitely get it for the songs that are included.

My guess is hat they wanted to create a "new" live album, a "on stage pt.2", that explains the title and that they used four already released tracks, because there where no unreleased versions of those songs in the archive. I didn't know why you want more material that is already released on this cd? Isn't unreleased stuff more welcome than already released material?

I'm very critical with ftd. The release a lot of redundant stuff, terrible sounding shows, recordings where elvis could be best described as a sleepwalker, often released in a way that screams: "we don't give a fu×k, cause you buy it anyway."
But this seems to be a brillant cd, i'm really excited about it.

Well, I am again only partly satisfied. Good news are the previously unreleased tracks. But for the rest, when I take a look into my iPod lists, there are still left-overs like 3 tracks on „Today, Tomorrow & Forever“, another 4 tracks on the CD of „Writing for the King“. So why do not collect all those together with the 3 songs from „Polk Salad Annie“ (not belonging to the Feb. 15th concert) on a 2nd disc, adding the rehearsal songs from Feb 18th at least once properly mixed (and maybe more), so we would have finally those before spread songs collected and in an homogeneous mix on one album. So again bitter sweet.

The stereo concert releases are back !! A marvellous change for the better. I think this might be the beginning of the complete sessions releases Ernst Jorgensen was talking about in the latest 'man and his music' magazine. Makes good economic sense to have it on 1 CD and keep the unreleased stuff in the majority. Didn't know there was a complete 'I Got a Woman' from this period. Should be a major winner here.

Great news. This is going to be the first ftd in a long long time that's really worth buying, not only for completeness sake. A lot of unreleased, great sounding stuff of elvis in his prime. Really looking forward to it.
