NobleWorks Teams With "The King"

March 31, 2008 | Other

NobleWorks, Inc. is proud to announce a new partnership with Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc. (EPE) that will feature The King of Rock 'n' Roll in a series of hilarious new greeting cards for 2008.

For the first time, Elvis Presley's legendary style will be paired with NobleWorks' trademark wit in a new line of Christmas, birthday and everyday greeting cards. NobleWorks is looking forward to joining The King of Rock 'n' Roll at center stage, following the success of its comical card line featuring another Las Vegas icon, Liberace.

Highlights from the new line include the iconic image of Elvis and Richard Nixon, with the president saying "I'm not a crook" and The King responding "I'm not a hound dog." Another card features a photo of a young Elvis leaving the front door of Graceland and is accompanied by the caption: "Elvis has left the building."

All the new Elvis cards are available for order at NobleWorks' flagship site, TheHornyRabbit.com, or as completely customizable print-on-demand cards at NobleWorksCards.com.

A disgrace! What depths will EPE plummet to next to rake in money on the name of Elvis Presley. Instead of putting this mind numbing trash on sale how about giving the go ahead for something Elvis fans would be proud of, ie, more releases of the kind of discs that will get him back on top of the charts once more.

It's keeping Elvis in the minds of people, so I don't have a problem with that. It's OK to have a laugh with Elvis. Why not? A business needs licensing deals to succeed. Release more unseen footage, yes. EPE hold the license for Elvis's last TV Special, which I would agree, should see a DVD remastered release. We've seen many Official Graceland Approved footage from it already. It's way overdue. Thousands of fans want to own the footage. Release it! The cards are not insulting, the photographic quality is great, so yes, why not produce them? P.S... Graceland - if you need to use me for any projects you may have (especially CBS tapes) just give me a call! I don't even want paying. Donate it to charity.

This sucks. I agree with Mofocaa22 up to a point. Hound Dog is just noise? Its a rock explosion and put Elvis on the map to stay. Elvis wasnt a singer in the 50's? He was a better singer who could do more with his voice than anyone before or since. In the 70's he became basically a baritone singer who excelled mostly on power ballads. While pleasant, it didnt set the world on fire or establish any new ground for him as an artist. Listen to his second album. No artist has ever displayed such a wide array of singing talent on so many different styles of music and set so many musical trends. Thats the real Elvis to me. No album is better.

I see no problem with this. I'd rather see these cards than the release of his Xmas/Gospel or Greatist Hits music repacked for the oh Lord I can't count that high umteenth time. We all need laughter & cards to send to loved ones. So why not Elvis cards? He's the Pop Icon of all time. Only Marilyn comes a little close. Mofoca22 Hound Dog just noise is like saying Joe D was an inadequate baseball player, or worse yet The Pancake is just an alley cat. Burning love baby get on it.

The bottom line is that these cards are just the kind of tacky, tasteless and derogatory product we now accept as the norm from EPE, who are only too happy to put their little holographic stickers on anything that doesn't move these days. This kind of tat would be a little easier to swallow if EPE actually did something to promote and develop Elvis's position as the greatest entertainer to ever walk this earth. How the f... can this kind of product be an acceptable use of the image of someone who deserves so much more respect than this. I find the obvious contempt displayed by EPE these recent years hugely offensive. These cards would be more acceptable if they were actually funny, but they are clearly low-level, poor quality humour on a poor quality product.

I have not visited the site for prices, but if they are not overpriced to absolute foolishness, I think it may be a good idea. that is if there were not another 2000 card collections. If you have noticed, cards of Elvis Are every were now. Elvs fans would go broke trying to buy every complete set of collectible cards or I would. I would like to have every set but . Besides I am tired of cards ect. I want to see Elvis on tour with all takes and rehearsals and the entire concerts they have. A new material on several Dvds like the first 68 comeback , not all the ones after thas has 45 seconds new material that should havebeen in the deluxe set. OH well maybe somes day..
