We warned you... this is no news at all, it is a couple of months old, but we stubled upon it last night while playing with Youtube on our TV... the idea is so funny (and pretty well done), we had to share it. Enjoy a duet by "Elvis" and Tom Jones!
no news at all. that's what I'm now looking for. the things that you sometimes post, can make some dreams come true ;-) singable to "One Night" anyone to add a second verse?
Rob, nah, that King came a lot closer to Elvis... I even doubt if it's Tom himself... although he might have done it during his Canadian TV shows (which I always avoid).
Think what you want but I really regret that Elvis did not make any duet on stage with Tom Jones or Roy Orbison or Jerry Lee or Johnny Cash or.... It would be very interesting to see them live in the 70's. I think That Colonel would want too much money for it - that is why it never happened. In one book I have seen a photo of Elvis and Tom Jones on one stage in Las Vegas. I think it was taken in 1970 or 1971 - does anybody know - what happened and why they were both on stage?
What a crap is this. Contains it Elvis voice , that will be nice. But now ..It's ..... It's time for respect Elvis and his music. But it's easy ,Elvis names sells. It's only a bad taste of humor
IMNSHO there's nothing to sell here, it's just for fun. People should take it with a grain of salt. Ruining Elvis' own music by so called remixes is for the money...
To Jerry 79, I believe the photo you are talking about was around 1974 at a Tom Jones concert in another Casino hotel in Las Vegas. Since Elvis was singing for the Hilton at that time, he was not allowed to sing at another hotel. I believe that he surprised Tom on stage and did some karate moves. I tend to agree with Lex, that it's just for fun, and no big deal. I found it funny. Even though we do have several duets of Elvis with Frank Sinatra, Ann-Margret, Nancy Sinatra, there are other possibilities with other artist that would have been great to hear.
