A press release from the Suzanna Leigh Experience LLC on the Elvis Presley co-star event " A Night Of A Thousand Stars" on August 16-18 2007:

Never before have "The King's" co-stars participated together for such an historic event celebrating 50 years of movie magic.

You have seen them a hundred times on the screen, now meet them in person.

This Gala is being put on by Suzanna Leigh, who starred with "The King" in "Paradise, Hawaiian Style."

Some of the co-stars participating in this event are Pat Priest, Nancy Kovack, Sue Ane Langdon, Irene Tsu, Jan Shepard, Gloria Pall, Jennifer Holden, Will Hutchins, Lance LeGault, Donna Butterworth, Michael Dante, Jack Carter, Jack Grinnage, Dolores Hart, Director John Ritch, L.Q. Jones, William Campbell, and more to come.

I love the Elvis Presley movies and have always wondered where are some of his wonderful co-stars today especially Donna Butterworth and Jan Shepard? It will be interesting to see how they all look like today. Suzanna Leigh should produce a Documentary DVD Video with Interviews from these co-stars and their love and comments on Elvis. That would be nice to have.

Sounds like a great idea, it would be nice to see all those folks in one place. How accurate is the above list though; to my knowledge, Dolores Hart became a nun in the 60s and shunned the outside world. Bearing that in mind, after years of peace, tranquility and serene conversation, I would have thought that Suzanna Leigh would be the last person you'd want to spend time with. She could talk the hind legs off a donkey that one.

I did not make a "mean spirited" comment, I made an accurate one. I have met and spoke at length with Suzanna, and apart from being an incredibly pleasant, polite and interesting individual, she can, as matter of fact, talk as though it is going out of fashion. At no point did I say that this is a bad thing (especially when the talk is about Elvis; although she does relate a rather flakey story about Elvis visitng her after his death and stating that he died from colon cancer). My comment was intended to be a light hearted and humourous observation when taken into context with the fact that Dolores Hart is a nun, but I suppose some people are so easily offended, such intentions go way over their heads. Sorry about that.

Christ, I give up. You wouldn't understand, it's called humour.

Suzanna is a lovely person, and yes she can talk a lot. But at least all her comments about Elvis have been decent and loyal. I am honoured to be a friend of hers. She has gone to a lot of trouble and expense in arranging this event in Memphis, and I for one will be there. She is always friendly to all the Elvis fans, which makes up for some of the morons who are only in it for the money. Just as they always were. We need more decent people standing up for Elvis. She's got a lot of stars in their chosen fields who have made their own living, without sponging off Elvis. Their words will certainly be worth listening to, so I hope many fans will attend these events.
