New NBC TV Special Box Set?

The U.K. department of Amazon added a new 3CD box-set to their shop. "The Elvis Presley NBC TV Special" box set. The record company is BMG, the catalogue number is 82876546102 and releasedate should be October 6th. More information when we have it.

This release is not a box set of "The Elvis Presley NBC TV Special" it is a triple pack of "Elvis Presley/Nbc TV Special/Pot Luck" albums.

Thanks from me too Elvis Express. I was confused about this title as well but refrained from ordering until I found out what kind of "box-set" it really was. It's a shame Amazon UK did not give the correct details and track listing but I did have my doubts about it. Surely BMG and Ernst would let us know about such a release. Of course, a box-set of this historic moment in Elvis' career (perhaps even a 4-Disc set) which would include ALL available unreleased material is long overdue. I am waiting!

Thanks for the information, Elvis Express. I just cancelled my order as I have the other albums. I thought this was a new CD collection of the 68 Special (my favorite!).

We can only hope that the new 68 Special box set will be remastered from the original master tapes. In a perfect world, Steve Hoffman would be asked to do this. Vic Anesini would be another good choice for this task.
