New Graceland Campaign

January 13, 2009 | Other

During Elvisweek 2009 fans shot these pictures of the new campaign promoting Graceland. The campaign uses frases like "Enter the Blingdom", "What happens in Vegas began at Graceland", "Rockin' Royalty Rolls" and more.

I quite like this, its something new. I like the images used its a nice change to the regular 6 images of elvis used everywhere. Nice colours too looks very classy. Just imagine the same style of text, same high impact images and the up to date look on the cover of an updated Elvis on Tour.

Well OK but what is the meaning of that expression "blingdom" ? I am a french speaking person and I just do not know every english word...

bling is an american slang term for bright shiny jewelry and other shiny extravagant accessories: clothing, jewelry, cars. here in vegas, the liberace museum has been saying lee was the 'queen of bling' (queen being a slang word for being homosexual) . so now we have the king!

Really cool! Are these officially by EPE? If they are then hats off to Robert Sillerman. He continues to impress me. :)

Those are awesome!! I saw the ad for "Blingdom" somewhere downdown the other day as I drove by. I guess GLand's goin gansta now, lol. I love the one with the cane in his hand. That's gangsta for real and still stylish. They certainly do beat the ones they had for last year with the "Elvis Is" phrase. That was just stupid and no creativity. I'm glad to see them finally gettin with the times.

Oh for goodness sake! I hate this. Don't they know that Elvis didn't like being called 'The King' and now they are trying to advertise off that with "Rockin Royalty Rolls" and "Blingdom". It's pathetic! I'm sorry but a lot of what's been going on at EPE in Memphis is bring Elvis reputation right down - it's not enough they sell Elvis costumes for halloween and Elvis ducks! They have to have this tacky advertising to go with their ever increasingly tacky souvenirs, and millions of Elvis Impersonators all over the place. Non- Elvis fans already think we are a bunch of nutters - EPE is reinforcing the stereotype! Scrap the souvenirs and advertising and start from scratch!

Very cool - I'd love to have those posters at home, actually! Incredibly cool pictures that are used too, perfect for the text. I'd love to see the other campaigns too.

In keeping with promoting the Icon that is Elvis Presley I think the posters are good.

A campaign that focuses on how cool Elvis was (and still is) is very good in my books - I take my hat off for EPE for this

I think this is great! Elvis was the coolest of them all. I especially like "What happens in Vegas began at Graceland". Most Rappers will agree that Elvis started the "bling" thing and the "entourage" (Memphis Mafia)...He was sooo far far of everybody else. No wonder he is the KING.
