John Jackson is a SONY employee. He's been involved in previous projects. Elvis was in Nashville June 4-8. In that span he cut more than 30 masters. Those masters spawned 3 LPs. That's The Way It Is, Elvis Country and Love Letters From Elvis. It will be interesting to see how this project is assembled.

On one hand I'm glad to see a set like this coming up to keep Elvis in the record-stores. On the other hand it will be another master/outtake collection. It will be the old outtakes we already have, so Ernst can sell his 'complete' FTD later on.

~ John Jackson is a New York City-based musician, producer, rock and roll historian and music business executive for SONY Music. Jackson is currently at work on an Elvis box set documenting the 50th anniversary of three intense days of 1970 Presley sessions in Nashville, and he’s also in the midst of supplying master tapes for Baz Luhrmann’s biopic about Elvis Presley and his iconic manager, Colonel Tom Parker.

TheMemphisFan wrote on March 11, 2020
Dazman, I'm guessing that the September 22 session will also be included.
