April 16, 2007 | Other
It's the dream of every fan: a guitar, used by Elvis. On april 14th, such a collectiors item was auctioned. Off all the guitars that where auctioned in the last months, this is be the must reliable item. Elvis used this guitar in 1962 in both 'Follow That Dream' and 'Kid Galahad'. After the recording of 'Kid Galahad' he donated the guitar to prop master Ralph Agnone. The guitar was treasured in the family and Ralphs son received the guitar when he passed away. When Agone jr died at a young age, his widow donated the guitar to the 'Warner Bros Movie Museum'. This year, she changed her mind en asked the guitar back to 'prodive it to the fans'. The auction hammer knocked off at $68.000 (€ 51.000).
