Mary Jenkins Died

Mary Jenkins Elvis' Former Cook Passed away May 30, 2000. She was Elvis' cook for fourteen years beginning in 1963. She worked from 7:00am to 2:00pm each day, fixing Elvis meals upon request, including one of his favorites "The Peanut Butter and Banana Sandwiches". Elvis bought Mary a house, a new Cadillac and six other vehicles over the years. Mary Jenkins also portrayed herself in the 1981 movie "This Is Elvis" and she wrote the books "Elvis, The Way I Knew Him" and "Elvis, Memories Beyond Graceland Gates ".
