The Man And His Music
Charro! is starring in this issue (#93) of TMAHM, great full color pics and a great read. Another interesting piece is the article on Hill & Range (Give Me The Right(s)). Of course the regulars like reviews, letters and news are present too.
Elvis
ElvisMatters' magazine (#34) has a fun CD included: 3 versions of Heartbreak Hotel (Elvis, Stan Freberg en Glen Reeves), well, actually you can call it 4 versions since The condition I'm In by Roy Hawkins (1951) is very similar. Also If The Lord Wasn't Walking By My Side is included in the rendition of its author, Henry Slaughter. The CD is closed with Elvis talking about his Messerschmitt.
The beautiful magazine has interviews with the flute player who played the solo in Trilogy in Aloha, Ivo Niehe, Michael Jarret, Henry Slaughter, the owner of one of the biggest private Elvis-collections and Fred Frederick, Elvis' car mechanic. Of course the regulars are present too.
