Sounds promising. I like how You dont know me and mary in the morning are included, in fact there are quite a few lesser known songs included.

Good idea! It sounds like something that would sell very well around Valentine's Day.

I would think, that some of these songs, would have to be, represented with "still footage" since, some, weren't filmed or video taped. "Love Me Tender" could be represented, by the movie performance, or early TV appearances, or the 2 concert films. "I Can't Stop Loving You" "The Wonder of You" "I Just can't help Believin' "There Goes my Everything" "You Don't Have To Say You Love Me" "Just Pretend" "Mary in the Morning" were filmed for "That's the way it is". "Always On My Mind" was filmed for"Elvis On Tour" (in the studio) "What Now My Love" "I'll Remember you" was video taped for "Aloha From Hawaii". "Can't Help Falling In Love" is in the film, "Blue Hawaii", and in various filmed and videotaped concert performances. But, when it comes to, "It's Now Or Never", the only performance, I can think of, is from, the last TV special, "Elvis in Concert", but would they use the 1977 footage, for this project? "Are You Lonesome Tonight", was filmed for "That's the way it is" and videotaped for "Elvis in Concert", and I think they would, probably, use the TTWII version."As Long As I Have You" is represented, in the film "King Creole". "You Don't Know Me" is represented, in film footage, from the movie "Clambake". "Loving You", film footage from the second movie, of the same name. "Unchained Melody", from "Elvis in Concert" but again, would they use the 1977 outake footage from the last TV special ? "For The Good Times" was filmed for, "Elvis On Tour". "Love Me" could be repesented in various filmed and taped performances. "Until It's Time For You To Go"-was filmed for Elvis on Tour, but do they have a full filmed version of this? "I Want You, I Need You, I Love You" is represented in early TV performances. However, "And I Love You So", was never filmed or video taped. All in All, It should be a a great DVD, since, the same company that did, the concert DVD "Elvis Lives" and the gospel documentary "He Touched Me" are putting this DVD together. I will be buying it !

Perhaps what they'll do is show parts of performances that are avaliable, between people talking about the song. As George said, Will they use the In Concert footage? same with Lonesome tonight from TTWII and Until its time from On Tour, because these havent been officially released, in good quality, on DVD have they? Personally, i hope they dont use the In concert footage, i know its still Elvis but im really uncomfortable watching it.

Thats right, the song, "And I Love you so" was video taped, for the CBS-TV special "Elvis in Concert". But again, will the producers, use the 1977 concert footage, on this new DVD? I bet, with good camera angle editing, alot of the CBS Footage, could be used.

Always on the outlook for a good new Elvis DVD. This sounds promising. I will look for it.

Nice idea I guess , but just like the # 1 hits, its still another slapped together DVD with footage we've all seen a million times. When are we going to get a proper DVD anthology on Elvis the way Dylan & The Bealtes were professionally done? Why hasnt this been done yet? Elvis has been negelected terribly on DVD except for the 68 TV Special & Aloha. (I dont count the movies)

"except for the 68 TV Special & Aloha" dgirl? I'd include them too! We're still waiting for the full VHS version of one and the other (yes with great sound and vision) has the most awful menu and intro. Both of these could have been so much better. I agree with your comments about the #1 hits. An anthology is waaaay overdue and with so many of the original band members and entourage passing away I wonder if it'd be too late.
