Lisa Marie Presley - Lockwood Married In Japan

February 17, 2006 | People
Lisa Marie Presley was married to musician and producer Michael Lockwood on January 22, 2006. The traditional Japanese ceremony took place in Kyoto, Japan. The bride’s mother Priscilla Presley walked her down the aisle and gave her away. Lisa's daughter Riley Keough served as maid of honor and son Benjamin Keough was a groomsman. Michael Lockwood’s best man was Danny Keough. Michael's parents, Vivian and William, were also in attendance.

Maybe an idea for another Quick Poll here on ElvisNews.com: How long is this marriage going to last ? My guess.....probably 5 months. Lisa Marie Presley-Keough-Jackson-Cage-Lockwood. Pretty name .........A signature will take her a week !

I guess the delay in telling us was to give them a chance to see if it would last! Seriously, I wish them well and hope Lisa Marie has found happiness this time.

I'm VERY happy for Lisa and Michael. They are VERY close... and if you can't wish them well...don't do anything. It really ticks me off when people automatically start judging the outcome of things...If you remember right...(which most don't) Lisa was married to Danny for 6 years...that's more than most people can say...if they even do marry their children's dads at all...so lighten up on her..and wish her well. And keep her and Michael in your prayers...instead of counting them out so quickly.

Today, tomorrow and forever, dearest Lisa Marie, I´ll be wishing you and yours the best, tenderly. Hugs and kisses as big as Sugar Loaf and Corcovado you know so well! :-)

So, her ex-husband was her new husband's best man then. Who performed the ceremony? Michael Jackson? Was Nicholas Cage the photographer? What a lucky coincidence that she should marry a producer when she is actively seeking a successful music career. Seems like a normal day in LMP's life to me. I wonder how much Priscilla charged for her personal appearance, or did they get an impersonator to do it instead.

Many of us get upset when we hear something negative about Elvis. Let me just say that Lisa Marie doesn't help matters by being such a weirdo. But hey it's her Dad I care about. Her? Who Cares!

This is Elvis beloved daughter you are talking about here...why can't people just wish her well and be done with it. Good luck Lisa and Michael.....be happy....

To: Mielvis....If you are a true Elvis fan...you would refrain from bad mouthing his daughter.... I'm sure if he were here today...he would say "who cares" about you..over her. I can't believe people profess to love somebody so very much..and then can't keep their mouth shut about the people that person loves. I'm not saying everyone has to like Lisa because they love Elvis...I'm just saying..have some respect for Elvis..and don't bash his daughter. He loved her more than anything in this world...and if he were here today...he would still love her...no matter what she has done in her life..and I know it would tear him up to see people bashing her the way they are.

Cynism dont belong when two people are getting married (by love). She´s just following her heart, trying to find the "love of her life" like the rest of us. -Good luck Lisa!

Lisa Marie, congratulations on your marriage! God bless you, and may you have a good life! In response to the comments I've read: I have to agree with the well wishers on this one. Frankly, I don't know how famous people survive under so much scrutiny from hyper-critical fans? Maybe that's why celebrities end up doing bizarre things or becoming reclusive drug addicts? Maybe what she needs is someone to be understanding and forgiving. I'd rather she find comfort from fans than from Scientology. One thing I can say about Lisa Marie, she loved her father. For that reason alone we should cut her some slack.

Congratulations Lisa and Michael!!! I think Lisa has finally found her man! Michael Lockwood seems such a sweet, kind guy! I'm a big fan of Lisa's, as well as Elvis, and I'm so pleased for her, because I know how much she loves Michael! Take care guys!

I know Lisa has been greatly criticized in the past by her own moves regarding her personal life. But I think that her personal life concerns only Lisa and the way that people criticize sometimes, it's almost like they would appreciate if Lisa said she was sorry about having done this or that...! I really hope that she settles a bit in her romantic/personal life, but just because I believe and agree that she must be happy. I also know that she has expressed the desire to be mother again. So, who knows? Maybe Michael will be the father...! I wish them both all the happiness in the world.

I think LMP is a nut job when it comes to "love". Date them - Marry them - Divorce them. This is #3 .... any bets on this lasting longer than 108 days like the last one to Nick Cage? I doubt it.
