Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller, renowned for writing such Elvis Presley hits as Hound Dog and Jailhouse Rock, will be honoured at the Young Musicians Foundation's 46th annual gala, on October 13.
Leiber and Stoller played a critical role in the development of rock 'n' roll, and their collected hits have been put on Broadway in the long-running show Smokey Joe's Cafe.

The gala, themed A Night in Venice, takes place in the International Ballroom of Merv Griffin's Beverly Hilton Hotel.

The Young Musicians Foundation is a non-profit organization providing performance opportunities, financial assistance, and music education.
