Where is 'Heartbreak Hotel' on that list'?? This is how you know, that many of these compilations are not well thought out...Heartbreak Hotel is the first crossover mega hit... How can it not be included...

A rock and Roll album with Rock and Roll songs on it?? Weird. Where are all the ballad singers and country singers who call themselves rock and rollers?? I agree Heartbreak Hotel should be on there, but if it being released as a single in 2006 it might be best not to include it. Apart from the Cliff Richards tracks this looks like a very good album. I'll be buying!!

What is Cliff elvis immitator Richard doing on a compilation of kings? He's nothing more than a joker...

I got this when it came out in July, what I'd like to know is why they used rerecordings, especially the Jerry Lee Lewis tracks, as they are readily availible this makes no sense at all.

This is a Great CD - but Big Richard...I mean Cliff Richard definately should NOT have been this CD at all. Compare to Little Richard and others, he is tame man!

Whinge, whinge, whinge! That's all Elvis fans ever do and that's the reputation we are getting. This is a great CD and I would recommend it.

That "joker" Cliff Richard managed to succeed for over 45 years. And those songs included are rock'n'roll songs and huge hits in Europe in the fifties. They might be somewhat softer then the others, but still... To me a great compilation, but I would have preferred a different order, not all songs by one artist in a row, but the artists in a row and that repeated. So, as usual everyone has something to complain about :-)

I did'nt say that I did'nt like the album, I'd just like to know why they did'nt use all original tracks by all the artists, the Jerry Lee Lewis tracks sound totally different from his SUN versions, & although it's a guess I think they where made for Mercury after he left SUN.

Cliff Richard is largeley unheard of in the States today as he was almost fifty years ago. A name change from Harry Webb did him no favours.

Have you ever noticed here in the UK that when ever they have released a similar mixed artiste Rock'n'Roll CD, they never have a single Elvis track on it ???? The same goes with Love songs etc. Very strange, so at least we have Elvis on this one. Regarding Cliff Richard, he is hugely popular in the UK, arguably more so than Elvis (does help being alive tho !!), I thought his 50's stuff was great but after that, its all gone downhill for him to the point now where his music in my opinion is embarrassing. Millenieum Prayer - enough said !!

Cliff Richard and Little Richard- are they related?

Cliff just abouts deserves to be on this album. Overall, it looks like a good tracklisting. As for his music being embarrassing, Jim Semple, while I'm not a Cliff Richard fan in any way, I reserve judgement because I can think of quite a few embarrassing Elvis numbers!

Those embarrasing Elvis songs are NOT on this CD, but those Cliff Richards ones ARE.

To CDKing I can only say that not everyone is wearing blinkers. There are Elvis-fans that like other's music too.

The amount of disrespect for other artists is once again staggering… Sad.

Why is this album called kings of rock n roll ? I always thought there was only one king of rock n roll and that is Elvis
Abidaslam1 wrote on October 07, 2004
The difference between Elvis' embarassing songs and Cliff's is that Elvis knew they were embarassing whilst Cliff thinks the're pretty good :-)

Cliff Richard was "popular in the states" in the late 70's and early 80s.. Songs like "Devil woman" & "We don't talk anymore" "Suddenly" and others were "BIG HITS".. I Loved those songs !! His 50's and 60's stuff never really hit the charts in America. (same goes for 90's and 2000's so far) He definately derserves some respect for his longevity & talent!!

Anybody on here who does'nt already have these recordings has no right being on here, all pretty much classic rock n roll. P.S Crap likeness of Elvis on the cover.
