May 25, 2005 | Music
Fort Baxter Classic Series re-release "Kansas City Blues" containing Elvis' June 29th, 1974 evening show in Kansas City, MO. has been released.

Originally this CD on the first Profile box-set was completed with two songs from Dayton, OH October 6th, 1974 evening show ("Johnny B. Goode" and "Can't Help Falling In Love"). Fort Baxter thought it would be best to use this time songs from the Milwaukee, WI show recorded the previous night.

The CD comes with a full color 12 pages booklet and improved sound from the original Fort Baxter master tapes.

They not only have improved the sound, they've improved the Cover art with new booklet as well. Long Live Fort Baxter!

Ton Bruins, seems that it's very hard to satisfy you with anything... I read a lot of your postings here... usually they are negative... What you have against this Baxter re-release? After all RCA/BMG re-re-re-re-re-releasing their stuff too... and sometimes with improved sound. So what is the problem?

Some of the readers of this site are very clever, they manage to review DVD's, CD's and books without having seen, heard, or read them. I am only able to comment on items that I have seen, heard, or read, which leaves me feeling rather lacking!
