John Carpenter's Elvis

On August 15 John Carpenter's Elvis, starring Kurt Russell will be released on Blu-Ray.
Reactions
Its not very good this and is fairly dated although Kurt Russell does channel some of Elvis' qualities, maybe its because he starred in Worlds Fair with The King that he was able to bring something of that back. The soundtrack is awful, why they couldn't use Real Elvis music baffles me. The ending is great with our man returning in triumph to Vegas in '69 in a white suit?? i'm pretty sure he sings Burning Love as well in 1969. Other than that it filled cinema seats in Europe back in the day, it was cool to see the name, Elvis on the cinema billboards.
Does anybody know if this Blu-Ray will be Region Free or Region A or B?
Even with all of its inaccuracies I enjoyed the film then and I still enjoy it today. Love it (as I do) or loathe it (as many other fans do) it's the best we're ever going to get. I'm glad it has finally come to DVD.
I never liked this film. Too many inaccuracies and a too dark/unhappy side of Elvis is portrayed.
Whilst there were some nice moments in this film I can't forgive it for some of the glaring inaccuracies especially where they show Elvis on the set of his first movie and he's dressed as a doctor with Vegas sideburns. Elvis' first movie was Change of Habit????? Pretty much everybody making Elvis the movie was alive when Love Me Tender burst into the cinemas with a splash. You'd think at least one of them would have said "hang on, have we got this right?????" Sloppy.
