Released in the import-circuit is the colourized edition of "Jailhouse Rock". This DVD, probably lifted from the laser disc, contains some bonus material like outtakes, interviews with Leiber and Stoller and more.

I have an old VHS tape, Jailhouse Rock in German, also colorized. It took me a while to realize that there was an awful lot of green involved in the movie...wallpapers, carpets, shirts and cars....sort of funny, but I bet this new dvd is alot better of a quality. Nevertheless "Jailhouse Rock" IS a black and white one, period.
