In The Ghetto Promo CD

To keep up radio interest in ‘ELV1S 30 #1 Hits’ for Christmas BMG Australia have released a promo CD featuring just 1 minute 30 seconds of an unreleased vocal outtake of ‘In The Ghetto’. Collectors would be interested in the fact that the disc is 'Made in the EU'.

Back in 1969 Elvis returned to American Studios on January 20th to record 'In The Ghetto'. Producer Chips Moman kept on pushing the band for take after take until he was happy with take 23. For Elvis' vocals he wanted more. With the backing track completed Elvis carried on with a vocal overdub to create the final Master. This promo features Elvis laying down an earlier overdub.
