Yes, a new screen name but the same old boring agenda. The bit that really made me laugh was the accusation that others here have a low level of education yet the posting contains with spelling mistakes! At least those named in the posting do not constantly change their identity. The whole posting makes no sense, are you saying that FTD are doing a good job or not? The mention of the "Elvis On Tour" concerts being soundboards just about sums the whole thing up.

What? If your talking about the on tour shows,there multitrack and not soundboards. New screen name?

A good thing Leibermann isn't head of FTD, can't get his facts straight and would sure mess up the entire HTM release..

The He Touched Me Sessions were in 71 not 72.The rehearsal belong on a on tour rehearsal set,too bad ftd screwed that up,what the hect was 6363sunset? no focus.

Tony, please note that the '72 EonTour gospel sequence (as filmed by MGM) would have fit extremlely well onto this
HeTMe FTD as it was around the same time from which these recordings date...'72/73 and actually liked by all fans;
funny remarks by EP sometimes and what a beautiful spontaneous rendering of those songs during the MGM studio rehearsal ! Man, wish I had been there. In fact, some of the very highlights of the whole movie. Ernst missed this

Regarding why "Help Me", "Put Your Hand In The Hand" and "Only Believe", these were originally released on other albums, so have no reason to be on this "He Touched Me" set. We have had similar comments about why the Gospel songs from the '68 special are not on there, but we should remember that this is not a Gospel compilation but a deluxe version of one of Elvis' original studio albums. Regarding hearing about the many missing out-takes, one does not have to hear information on the grapevine, it can be viewed on Keith Flynn's database which actually reveals how little is left in the can. It's the same thing as when people talk wildly about things like two hundred hours of unseen footage from "Elvis On Tour", the numbers are just made up for some perverse reason.

Why do Elvis fans ALWAYS complain when a new FTD is announced? Mr Liebermann, if you don't want this, then don't buy it!
Leibermann (profilecontact) wrote on Sep 10, 2011report abuse
If there would have been bonus sacred songs like "Help me or Put yr hand in hand or Only believe" on this new FTD then I would have rushed out to buy it ! Now I blieve it is very weak selection by Mr. Jorgensens. I hear that there were many more outtakes of I John & Abraham's Bossom....but why don't we get those Ernest ?

Strange as it may sound when we hear the CD, "Johnny B. Goode" is sitting in it's correct place as it was caught on tape between the recording of "He Touched Me" and "I've Got Confidence". Martin is correct about the missing first takes, sometimes they are even breakdowns during the musical introduction before Elvis started singing. On a few occasions, certain very short takes such as this have been featured on official releases but not mentioned on the packaging.

Looks like a great collection ! I'm surprised that "Johnny B. Goode" is being included on a Gospel CD. (I guess the song was a performed at the "He Touched Me-gospel-recording sessions" and thats why its being included on the FTD set.

Sometimes take 1 is merely a false start.

It's mysterious. There are songs consisting of .. let's say 4 takes. 3 of these take are spread on other releases with take 1 missing. Here now we get the same 3 takes of the song with take 1 missing again. There are several of these cases on this CD and I'm asking myself if Ernst wants to bug us or if these takes don't exist anymore because of tape cuts or damages.
