I've got the American version. This is without doubt the BEST Elvis Presley DVD. It's all about His first love, the great Gospel music.

This documentary should get a lot more exposure and attention. It is definitely the best Elvis documentary ever made. Its a must for all fans. It shows a very human side of elvis. The people taking part are for the most part - musicans and singers who worked with Elvis and they have no agenda - they are not there for their own publicity, they are there to speak about the man they knew and loved. We get to hear about Elvis the person - not the image. It goes beyond what we thought we knew about Elvis. Its a celebration of Elvis the singer and the man. He gets a lot of well overdue praise for his vocal ability - something which is sometimes lost these days in reviews of Elvis. Its both uplifting and emotional to watch. But its a dvd to watch over and over again. Congrats to the producers of this programe - they have given us something very special.

Idid buy the Vol. I & II two years ago, in my opinion is the best documentary set I've ever seen on Elvis. Since Elvi's passing (27 years ago), there is a surprising depth and emotion present in the voices and expressions of these friends and co-workers as they speak about Elvis. I looking forward to buy these new DVD set. Thanks all; producer and friends for such a beautiful job.

Great cover (better than the original one), but... the most boring DVDs ever ! Targeted to religious zealots only. Show us Elvis worst side: his embarassing and childish beliefs. Totally ridiculous. Enough is enough. European fans: you can save your money to buy more interesting material. It's an American thing only.

PaulFromFrance, your reaction is totally ridiculous and I think I speak for a lot of Elvis fans right now. Who are you to judge about most peoples religion? No, those French people are great. Thanks to the Americans you speak French now instead of German. In principle that’s the same. So, never judge people on their religion. Maybe my reaction is a little too harsh, but that’s how I think about it. p.s. I have the dvd too, it’s really great!!

Okay, I admit it! I’m a religious zealot. I believe that God created the world and that Jesus died for my sins upon across and rose from the death. I believe, just like Elvis did and just like about a billion other people on this earth do. Maybe PaulFromFrance can stop writing childish nonsense and consider other people’s feelings. If you don’t like the DVD’s just say so and keep the inconsiderate remarks to yourself. Obviously you don’t believe. I respect that. I’m not throwing mud at you. I wouldn’t mind explaining to you though, why I do believe, in a conversation based on mutual respect. Faith in God is very important to lots of people. Elvis’ faith was important to him and you can tell by the way he sang his gospel songs, especially on some of the private recordings. I for one am looking forward to seeing these DVD’s, to understand more about the man (and his beliefs) behind the music.

'Thanks to the Americans you speak French now instead of German' is actually far more ridiculous than commenting upon religion. Such a statement is entirely without any historical basis. I am an athiest (if you want to use the Catholic definition of the word) but that neither precludes me from listening to Elvis' gospel music nor holding this DVD in extremely high regard. It's probably a little exaggerated to say it's the best Elvis documentary ever, as there are far too many interviews with people who have zero to say but nonetheless it's fabulous and highly recommneded. Whilst clearly you don't have to believe in any form of religion to understand the impact of gospel and spiritual music upon Elvis and it's role in the development of R 'n' R, but to understand the complexities of the man, you certainly would need to look at the role of religion in his life, particularly his childhood. Whatever one's own views on religion, everyone has the right to their own faith, the right to believe in whatever you like without fear of condemnation and oppression. Look forward a few centuries, the 'Elvis religion' with 'priests' dressed as impersonators, Elvis songs as Psalms etc etc. Ridiculous? Well, as I said everone has a right to believe in whatever you like without fear of condemnation and oppression. And I guarantee this will happen...

What's even more important is that 'Elvis, through the deep connection he had with his Soul and his genuine emotional expression, has helped many connect to their spirituality and faith. God uses great people in great ways!

It's on Video before but now in even better sound and quality on DVD. By the way, I am from Asia, a former Buddhist..and Thanks to ELVIS Presley, I became a born-again Christian in 1989 after listening to Elvis' Gospel songs especially HE TOUCHED ME, HIS HAND IN MINE, WITHOUT HIM and REACH OUT TO JESUS. But this is indeed an excellent DVD for both Gospel fans and also non-Gospel fans alike, especially those music fans who're interested in his musical roots.
