Get Down And Get With It

The Fort Baxter and Gravel Road import labels will join up again for the re-issue of "Get Down and Get With It". According to the information we received this re-issue should feature no less than 24 minutes extra from this July 15, 1970 studio rehearsal which was not made available before by Fort Baxter. The double CD will have a playing time of just under 100 minutes. The full tracklisting and artwork will be made available January 2010.

Two more projects in the can are an extended "Hang Loose" and a double CD featuring both October 1976 Chicago shows. The producers promised "not to scr*w up the Chicago artwork  this time".

Boots, boots, and more boots! Once upon a time, bootleg material was unique and rare. Now there's a glut on the market. I'm not complaining, but in a sense, such immediate availability takes a bit of the fun out of the hunt. I sort of liked the old days, except of course when I couldn't find what I wanted.

Great news! Gravel Road didn't dissapoint us so far- their reissues are quality ones, with noticable sound and artwork improvements. Their 'Plugged In And Geared Up' is a little masterpiece with huge improvement in sound, and in stereo boo. And I'm really interested in Chicago '76 double cd, since the 'Chicago Beat' import is impossible to find for a reasonable price these days and I miss it in my collection.

Do we need all this? I don't think so. I thought they promised the next release would be some stuff that is yet unreleased?? Or am I mistaken?
