As much interesting as Jungle Room might be, Elvis is Back, to me, comes on top. Everything about it is magic. Too bad Elvis didn't go in the studio in 1964 (only 3 songs) and in 1965 to compensate for the bad quality of the movie songs of the time. Even if I dig lots of movie material, Nashville had it's strenght and charm uncompared

"Elvis Is Back!" is a masterpiece of an album, an absolute work of art. in early 1960, people were quite rightly unsure if Elvis could reclaim his crown. Any doubts were laid aside when the music contained within was revealed to the world. I owned my first copy of the album in 1974 and even at the age of ten, I could hear that this was not just another Elvis album. The sound is incredible, especially when one considers that the recordings and mixes were done live in the studio.

Elvis Is Back was the first album I ever bought back in 1960. It has remained a favorite of mine since then. Comparing it to the Jungle Room sessions is like comparing a diamond to a rock. Its about time it is #1!

All Elvis' albums are special. The best three being, in my opinion, "Elvis is back" and "Elvis in Memphis" & the companion piece "Elvis -back in Memphis".
