The song is being featured in a new Heineken TV commercial now airing in Ireland. The Official Elvis Insiders Event, which is sold out, will take place aboard the Memphis Queen III Riverboat. Insiders will go rollin’ on the Mississippi River, enjoying light hors d'oeuvres, dancing, Elvis music, and a beautiful view of the Memphis skyline.

Thats a nice gift for the fans. I Love the remix of "Bossa Nova Baby" from the"Viva Elvis CD". If only Radio would play the "Bossa Nova baby single, because it could be a huge worldwide hit single !

This was the best song on I thought , a very bad album. A sure fire worldwide hit? Not guaranteed but Im sure it would be more successful than the album was and worth a shot.

Wonder who had the idea for the Elvis Meets the Blob picture cover?

Nice, a "Tupelo '56" Photo for a '60's Song. So much for accuracy (never stopped them before)...

The original song 'Bossa Nova' was bloody awful and dated when it was first released in 1963. The new mix is still dated (whoever does the Bossa Nova?). This is not the right way to get new fans!

Jerome, you come out with some rubbish sometimes, but for the first time in a long time you have hit the spot! Well done!

This song when released in 1963 was NOT dated. The Bossa Nova was huge and Eydie Gorme had a huge hit with Blame It On The Bossa Nova that very year. Elvis's single I thought was very hip and much improved over One Broken Heart For Sale earlier that year. It made the top 10 in the US, his last single to do so until Chapel. I also thought it was far and away the best track from the movie as it is the best track on the mostly dreadful Viva Elvis. Can it be a hit today? Sure why not. No one knows what the Bossa Nova is and who cares if the music clicks.

'Bossa Nova Baby' is a very danceable track and was originally featured on one of Elvis' most underrated albums 'Fun In Acapulco'. There are many gems on this album, including 'Mexico' which would also make a great remix. Most of the tracks can be used for ballroom dancing. The 'Viva Elvis' version brings it more up to date.

Agree that maybe this could click with the youngsters today as it's a very lively track that's easy to dance to. Def the best off Viva Elvis.

DJ Ryan Tubridy played the song today on RTE 2FM, the national radio station here in Ireland. Tubridy declared himself to be a big fan of Elvis and the album Viva Elvis as one of his favourites. All good exposure :o)

the cover represents the 'logo' for the Viva Elvis show, that's why the picture was used. in response to: Nice, a "Tupelo '56" Photo for a '60's Song. So much for accuracy (never stopped them before)...
