Fort Baxter Classic Series

March 19, 2005 | Music
The Fort Baxter label is aware that some producers are re-releasing some of their CDs from the Profile box-sets with inferior artwork. According to an update on the FECC site the label thinks that the fans deserve the best products and decided to re-release some of those concerts in very limited edition on the label "Fort Baxter - Classic Series".

All the re-releases will come with full color booklets (12 pages) and improved sound from our original master tapes. The technology has changed and this is now possible to improve several of those recordings originally featured on the two box-sets "A Profile - The King On Stage". Several fans missed those sets back then and will now have the chance to obtain these concerts from the original label. The first of the series will be "Kansas City Blues" (June 29th, 1974 evening show in Kansas City). More details will be given later.

Fort Baxter is a legend. Their releases where and are fantastic, great stuff all the way. And now we get them with an 12 pages booklet. Better than another label release them in bad sound quality like Snowball Entertainment do. TCB.

I think I have all the Fort Baxter releases (maybe I missed 1 or 2, after all), and this is a label I can recommend in all confidence. The 4 CDs box set displayed here is really good. If you don't have it, try to find it quick. This is the kind of goodies we don't have anymore.

I too have a few Fort Baxter releases. I have these box sets of "A Profile - Vol. 1 & 2" and they are definately two of my favorites! Fort Baxter does a fantastic job!
