So, let's see. There's the FTD book...the regular FTD, the soundtrack FTD, the re-release FTD. Hm, did I forget something? I'm lucky. I'm almost never hungry and I have a dog in the yard that is shi..ing money. So, I can affort even a half complete soundboard 22 €uro. And we all need some diet in the first quarter after christmas, right? By the way. The rock-group Queen is planning to release their soundboards as part of the download area on their web-site. Every show goes for around 7,99 $. All the money goes to AIDS-research. Yes, friends 7,99 $ ! They know what these cheap cassette-recordings are worth and give them to the fans for a fair price. At the start Ernst said he will not use soundboards within the FTD series. Only high quality material. Now there are 3 in three month. Think about how much money the new FTD CDs will cost you. And than think about how much of the basicly promised high quality studio material you will get for it. Nooo, don't yell about me. Just think about it honestly.

Well, what a grumpy old Santa Claus we have here?. Here´s a thought: get your f..... sleigh and crawl back under the snow you came from!. There was a time when we all complained about BMG releasing NOTHING and that we all got verrrry excited about an audience recording, no matter how bad the sound. Now the vaults have been opened up and the goodies just keep coming and again there are people complaining. It´s just never right, is it?. If you don´t like it, don´t buy it. If you can´t afford it: you don´t have to buy it all at once. BUT: keep in mind that these type of releases are unique in the recordindustry. But some people tend to think they know it all so well and do nothing else then complain, complain, complain... I wonder how much of it is based on jelousy. Seems that the people that complain the most really just want the wonderful job of Ernst Jorgensen... May I suggest that you stop being an Elvis fan, dress up like Fredy Mercury in the videoclip ´I Want To Break Free´ and get off on their website and stop bothering us with all your negative sh..!!

Yes, we have the great Elvis 70. birthday on Saturday. And we´ll get some great Cds but I think every year is a birthday for BMG cause they release so many Cds every year. Please Ernst, not that much releases in one year. Ftd and the regular Cds is too much. I know some Elvis collectors who can´t buy all this Cds but they really want to but it is too expencive. Ernst, please think about it !!! TCB.

Hey JeroenNL. Calm down a little. Yes, it's people like YOU that Ernst likes the most. Buying for exaple the old "Today" stuff etc. on FTD again. This time not for the price of a HIGHPRICE NEW CD (16 Euro) which would be even enough, but now for 23,50 Euro ! Oh, I forgot: It's an old Elvis CD. It HAS to cost that much. Well done JeroenNL, this is exactly what he wants. Fans that like exactly this. Get real. If you like to pay overpriced things..I give you my account number.. You didn't read my post I guess. So. what about the idea to pay 16 Euro Highprice for a trashy soundboard and 10 Euro for the re-re-rereleases? Really don't like this thought? And wouldn't that fit the real value? These days they re-did "He touched me". Never saw it in stores for 23,50 Euro. Customers would think BMG is gone crazy. But..put the same record in a FTD cardboard and it costs 23,50 Euro. What a miracle. Didn't you ever wonder about that? So again..before you write again before you think..let me know if you got too much money.

Santa Claus is back in town:-)... Why are you so negative? It is treu if you don't want it don't buy it! And yes the ftd releases are more expensive, but i guess that has to do with the copyrights and a smaller number of pressings...But I would rather pay more then to not have them at all! In my opinion I think you also want it all, but like most of us can't afford ALL the cd's at once when they are releasedThat's why I choose not to buy everything at once..but first the most intresting ones and if I'm up to date with that , I eventually buy the rest ...You can always search on the WWW for the best prices! Let's keep up the good spirit of christmas...and shake a hand everyday!!! Season Greetings ..Elvos

Santa Claus I think you should change your name to Scrooge. It would suit you better than the Red Suit that you don now. Queen, are you kidding? I don't purchase all of the Elvis FTD's either but Queen downloads, are you serious? I think you are on the wrong web site Old Saint Nick.

Elvos. I can't buy the CDs by and by. First there was an announcement of one FTD quarterly. Meanwhile they are coming 5 CD and one book in a quarter (And I realy don't want to know what the book alone will cost). If you miss the moment, you're behind 5 CDs and you'll never catch up. About the cost of CD pressing: Years ago I went to BMG Munich and showed Klaus Schmalenbach (former strategic marketing manager BMG) the EP "Perfect for parties". He was amazed about it. Two weeks later he send me some of the 200 indoor promos he made of it. He made them as a gag. So much about the CD producing-cost. I know it's not always that easy. But..nobody answered my question: Re-release of an old record as Nice-Price (incl. Bonus Songs like on "On Stage" is about 7,95 Euro - 9,95 Euro. Re-Release on FTD is 23,50 (and 30,99 Euro on Amazon). How does that come? I say it again. Don't just yell about me. THINK ABOUT IT! By the way. I'm no Queen fan at all. But I look a little left and right from the street, which more people should do. Could save you some money you Santa haters :-)

Santa: I did read your post because I can read. You obviously didn't read mine: if you don't like it, don't buy it. If you can't afford it, you don't have to buy it all at once. And if you claim that making cd's isn't that expensive, you are wrong. For instance: you try and hire the Sony studio's for a day where all the tapes are mastered... And: the FTD classic album series is a more expensive series to make, just look at the packaging and then think about the design and printing costs. But hey, there is good news too: especially for Santa the new remastered cd's (Elvis Presley - Elvis - Loving You) are now in store at a nice mid-price!. Run, Santa, Run! (and boy do those cd's sound good!!). Santa: RCA/BMG and FTD are in fact two seperate company's. FTD is producing on a smaller scale. Smaller amounts = higher costs, higher amounts = lower costs. Plain economics. So if RCA/BMG releases something for Joe Public that is in all record stores it will be cheaper. Also: the good bootlegs have also been more expensive then RCA/BMG releases, due to the limited amount they are made in. It is wise to look at both ends of the street other wise you might get run over by a roadie in a Queen Tourtruck...

Don't buy it? Great input JeroenNL. Three of my POOR friends already stopped buying FTD after 30 years of collecting. They gained interest because they were floded with the stuff. Is that what it ought to be? Another beginning of an end you and the FTD marketing is creating. You are in a short term thinking. Even Ernst realized it a few month ago and stretched the release of soundtracks. So don't tell me I'm wrong.

Hey folks what happen? JeroenNL, LyleRay - are here no critics on elvis and the things around him allow??? Such fans we had at any time during elvis career. These are the fans who cried “Elvis The King” after a funky silly version of Jailhouse Rock in the 70´s, instead to say NO. Don´t understand me wrong, the 70´s are my favorite part in elvis career but i believe if some fans said No - Elvis way could have been another, maybe a better. Today it´s the same - so why are you so blind? Please read the comments exactly. Nobody wrote, the idea of the new FTD CD is wrong, nobody wrote to release soundboards is wrong. Only the way is wrong. Exspecially young fans could not pay 24 dollar for one cd – and older fans? Will you really pay again, and again for the same material. Ernst – how often you would like to get my money for the same stuff – tell me that. You are a fan – so please bring us that, what we want – you have it at home...! I agree to 100% with Santa Claus.

Oh, boehoehoe.... I am crying.... it just breaks my heart, Santa... What stupid whining this is... So you want to hear you are right?.. Fine: here it is: Hey everybody, listen up: Santa is Mr. Know It All, he's in crowd with BMG and Ernst and he is right with everything he says... Happy now?. Ok, then stop whining, stop this discussion and go on with your sad little life cry your self to sleep tonight. 'Mama, the time has come, put a gun against my head because I can't buy the FTD's I need so bad' (Great Queen song...) 'Who want's to buy me FTD's, who want's to buy them now' (Another Queen classic) 'All we hear is, complaining, complaining''(and again, a classic Queen song!)

Why complain? Sure, Pearl Jam releases everyone of their concerts for 12.99-14.99, some even make it on too store shelves (for the same price at that) and sure Queens going to do it. BUT, these are going directly from the concert, to the fans. They are never seeing the inside of any lost vaults deep in some mountain side. (Or where ever Ernst and the boys dig up an Elvis record) Also another reason to not complain, is to compair FTD with BMR... whats BMR? its the doors collector label for unreleased doors concerts, which has not put out a cd in so long most doors fans have given up. Not to mention those cds are generally more then Elvis ones (course most the doors releases were 2 discs...) Dagger records (Hendrix collector label) has been around for a number of years, with only 7 available releases. (FTD will top that in a year) course the price on Hendrix's releases seem a bit cheaper.... the newest one going for 15$ i believe. Were lucky to get this much, this often.... PERIOD. And if you cant afford to keep up with releases, who cares, only buy the ones that you really want. The best thing for FTD to do, is release as much as they can well RCA/BMG and the parent companies give them the money to do so. They could pull the plug at anytime, but as long as the cds are out, then the music will be available..... And we can all only hope the day will come when an entire Elvis tour is available, say the On Tour concerts, or even the other 3 that were recorded for Thats the Way it Is... and for those of you who still frown on releasing tons of concerts from one tour/season... as a Pearl Jam fan, i must say its AWESOME. If PJ would have only done a select number of shows... I doubt id have heard them do "I Cant Help Falling In Love" from Memphis and Vegas in 2000....
