Here's an image of a flyer that comes with the MGM Legends DVDs. It's kind of small, but represents the cover art on each DVD. The actual discs are identical to the previous releases, indicating no remastering.

Shame they have chosen not really entertainment wise well leveled movies. They should have added others to Kid Galahad, which is basically not that bad of a movie and one of the few Elvis might have been a little proud of.

I bought the MGM package. The cover artwork is nice.. on all.. with the exception of "Follow That Dream" Its awful !! Like "Bad cartoon drawing".. Of note: It seems, that some of the "ELVIS-MGM-Movie-catalog" were sold to "Warner Brothers".. and some stayed with MGM. ( "Jailhouse Rock" and "Viva Las Vegas" ..etc.. are on Warner brothers, while "Kid Galahad & "Follow that Dream" etc. stayed with MGM )

GK, how is the picture quality of Follow That Dream? When I first bought the Region 1 version back in May 2004 the picture was not too good as compared to all the other Elvis films released so far on DVD. The Region 1 version of Clambake also had the same problem but when I bought the region 2 version the picture was much better. I'm reluctant to buy FTD again before I know if the picture is improved on any other region. Please help. thanks.

It's a strange situation with the current ownership of some of Elvis' films. These four were not MGM films, they were United Artists, and were inherited by MGM when they took over UA. The real MGM films now appear to be owned by Warner Bros.

The deal is that Ted Turner bought MGM back in the 80s. He sold the production studio portion. He kept the MGM vault. But he couldn't afford the UA vault. So the UA vault is owned by whomever controls the MGM studio. The MGM vault was merged with Warner Bros when Time-Warner paid a fortune to buy Turner's operations. These 4 films are packaged together because those are all that MGM controls. They couldn't add anything to this boxset since they don't control them.
