Looks like a great collection. Collecting every inspirational hymn / gospel song Elvis recorded, including live and home recordings. Great for those who don't previously own these recordings. I think I'll wait for FTD to release a special edition of the "How Great Thou Art" album.

Is "Miracle Of The Rosary" no longer regarded as a gospel song? Missing from this set and not included as what I thought should be an obvious bonus track on last years "He Touched Me" remastered CD. Yet it was on both "Amazing Grace" and "Peace In The Valley".

Optimum sound quality (or lack of same) is subjective. It depends one's ears and personal preference. I can tell you that I recently purchased the 3 original gospel albums w bonus tracks that were remasterd by Vic Anesini last year. The sound quality on those tracks (imo) is a huge improvement over the same tracks on "Amazing Grace' and "Peace In The Valley," or any later comp.

jerry when were those 3 albums you mention released?

This goes on & on. In another 5 years they will have another release of the same songs that boasts of optimum sound quality. That is technology. Its been happening since the 50's boxset. If you are happy with what you have, then no need to keep purchasing. I am not made of money. I'd rather discover new songs by someone else. All these years my friends have been telling me about Miles Davis. I'm not a Jazz fan but I finally got Kind Of Blue recently. I cant stop playing it. Its so nice to discover new music for a change.

circleG: Can't tell you the exact date, but if you look then up on say, amazon they're listed as 2008 with bonus tracks. Those would be the versions you want.

Yes exactly right about the sound upgrade stated by Jerry. If I had not purchased the 3 new individual albums, with great bonus tacks, last year, I would get this set to upgrade my Amazing Grace set. They all sparkle like diamonds now!!!
