Good bye Ernst Jorgensen's project and hello Memphis Recording Service project. Can't wait to get this in the mail and I really don't expect the project Ernst is working on to top this one off, so this one will be a welcome addition to my collection

So what makes this set stand out?

I am sorry but I do not agree with Palle. I have bought 'Tupelo's Own' (for 34,95 euro's at my local Elvis-shop), but I have also saved money for Ernst's SUN-project. These releases don't bite eachother. I am just glad that finally we get some ace fifties stuff. I mean for too many years the emphasis has been on the 70s jumpsuit-Elvis. I embrace these releases. "Tupelo's Own" is a winner!!! Buy it, you won't regret it!

How a project centering on a September 1956 performance substitutes for a project whose scope extends only to November 1955 is utterly beyond me. As far as what makes this set "stand out," I guess it's the previously unseen 50s-era concert performances, complete with audio.

The Sun recordings may have been the most important pieces of music ever recorded as far as Rock N Roll or even Elvis's career is concerned. Even if it is a rehash (and really what isnt) I hope it to be the ultimate package. I didnt buy the MRS pacakages so this would be my first splurge into a Sun package. Better rehashing this then lousy movie songs or tired 70's material.
