I just saw the unboxing of this set. They took pictures of snipets from film and simply printed on a book. What a disappointing release!

I believe we will be talking about this set for weeks and months ahead because it is too big for nothing and of course, overpriced. They should have released this set without the books commercially just like they did last year with Live 1969

... and finally we got troubles at ftd, one dealer I know will get 25% less than he ordered and this will be at other dealers too. Good luck to everybody who did order the set !

For those who have the bootlegs and/or FTDs there's nothing new. Of course for those who have the time to read or look at 600 pages it could be a different story.

I also think this is a fantastic release, I wish I had the money. It's a pity they didn't decide to offer a cheaper version without the books. Many people would benefit from it. For the ones who can't afford the whole thing the only alternative is to keep waiting and hoping. MRS usually offers top notch products, but so far it looks like they only release public domain stuff. The International Label had promised this project a couple years ago, what happened?

Are we also going to get an all-out release of the On Stage, Feb 1970 recordings this year from FTD or Legacy ? Time will tell.

I really really want this set. We have been so spoiled recently with the Vegas 69 set, the Elvis is back sessions, Kid Galahad and the upcoming Nashville sessions. We’ve never had it so good. But I just can’t stretch to £200 But everyone who can purchase, I know you will enjoy. Please can someone give a review when you’ve heard it. Thank you FTD / Sony.

All in one place. All new and perfectly re-mastered from the original tapes. I have the imports but I'm really looking forward to this set. I remember seeing all these titles like 'Heart Of Rome' and 'Cotton Fields' in one of the early Recording Sessions books. That was a time when a Legendary Performer LP with 2 new outtakes was all we got. A set like this was lightyears away from reality. In fact it was totally surreal. Now people went back to these tapes, brought them up to today's remastering standards and paired them with two books comprising the best photos from the rehearsals and the shows .. from the negatives. It hurts me when people comment this with just two words: "No thanks". And I feel sad for these 'fans' and Ernst. He made a lot of mistakes (even here with the re-use of the butchered August 10 rehearsal). But when you make such a set and the fans are so fed up that they got over it with "No thanks", it's very frustrating.

Lucky is who hasn´t bought any of the import cds containing these material, the other will get 5 or 6 titles which hasn´t even released on import.
