EPE On Rumors About The TCB Band And The August 16 Concert

January 23, 2002 | Other
Rumors are flying all over the Internet that our August 16 event "Elvis: The 25th Anniversary Concert" is in danger of being canceled. That is not true according to EPE. The show is happening as planned and we’re more excited about it than ever. The reason for this rumor is a story making its way around the Internet that TCB Band-mates - James Burton, Glen D. Hardin, Jerry Scheff and Ronnie Tutt - are in some kind of squabble. It is also being said that Ronnie Tutt might not make it to Memphis on August 16 due to commitments to Neil Diamond.

Regarding the squabble, EPE doesn't want to get mixed up in it, so the TCB-band members have to wotk things out among eachother. It is true that Ronnie Tutt’s schedule has become uncertain for August due to uncertainties about the tour schedule of Neil Diamond. But EPE believes everything will be worked out for the special show in August. They are now in the process of communicating with a very long list of singers and musicians who worked with Elvis through the years. They've had verbal commitments for a long time now from most of the artists and have been talking about it with them for many months. Now, the formal contract phase is happening, following a tremendous amount of production planning to determine the full scope of the show. For all who attend Elvis: The 25th Anniversary Concert EPE promises "an evening you will remember for the rest of your lives".
