Starting tonight ElvisNews.com will become a 100% Elvis Presley website again. Several members persuaded us to remove all the news regarding matters and people who are only in any way or form connected to our main man. We think they hit the nail on the head with their comments on the recent Lisa Marie update.
We will implement the changes at the end of the day. This means we will remove the portal, news, articles, shop and most of the encyclopedia section, and we will only leave the daily "Today In History" and songbase section on-line since those are the only 100% Elvis sections of this site. Those sections will be upgraded with the images from our picture of the week section.
We want to thank the before mentioned members of our site for opening our eyes and helping us return to what is really important, Elvis Presley!

It is almost April 2nd, so we can be frank with you, it was a joke (of course). Or as one of you readers put it: "I'm sure Elvis would be the first one to laugh out loud at a good April Fools gag. Glad to see ElvisNews also likes to have a good laugh!" So we couldn't fool everybody.
ElvisNews.com is and always will be 100% Elvis (and on the side we mention the interesting news on everything with a good link to Elvis and his work too).

Then you must love his ex-son -in law- ( this is Elvis related too) for all the charitable things he's done in his lifetime and indeed for his contributions to the music world. And whatever happened to being innocent until proven guilty ?

Is this an April Fool's joke??? I hope so, because as I mentioned before, Elvis worshiped the ground his Lisa walked on, so to leave out news about her, would greatly upset him. He would want her included in his news. Please reconsider if this is not a joke and include news about her. We love her because she is his daughter and doing good things. She has gone to Congress to speak against prescription drugs given to children, and she is giving loads of $ to her charities as well as her dad's. How on earth can you censor her like this??

nice one lads. I was able to spin my own April Fools joke today. Coming from Aberdeenshire (the Ancestral home of the king "alledgedly") and also with me currently researching my own family tree, I claimed today to have found a link to the Presley's of Lonmay. My work colleagues were well and truly taken in for about 6 hours until the realised what day it was. All good fun.

Well, I don't like this decision that much. If the biggest part of for instance the encyclopedia section will be removed, a lot of interesting information (to me at least) will be lost. For me, sections like the "Import List", "Elvis Day By Day" and so on are very useful if you want to verify something quickly. And of course I have the books containing already this information, and I know this information can be found on other websites too, still I think it's nice to have it all combined in one big Elvis website. I don't understand why some of you are so frustated if there is an article about something you are not interested in. Other readers may be. I only read what is interesting to me, but I accept the fact that other visitors to the site have other preferences.

I hope the other commentors are correct about this being an "April Fool". ElvisNews is the best for everything Elvis related:information, news items (almost before they've happened), releases, Day to Day etc., etc., etc. Perhaps you just wanted a pat on the back for all your hard work - well you certainly deserve it. C'mon, they have an opinion poll about everything on this site, including some really pointless ones ("Will this be a good year for Elvis?"), don't you think they might want to poll us about this before doing it? It's a joke. PS~ I've decided to sell my entire Elvis collection on eBay. I'm using the money to donate to Michael Jackson's defense fund. I suggest you all do the same. I mean, so he molested a few kids, big deal. He's still the king of pop.

I think it's important to get updates and information on anything Presley related including his daughter, Ganddaughter, other artists doing Elvis songs etc. I know it inspires conversation, that is Elvis related in some way...I think it will be a mistake, but this is not my board, so it's up to the powers that be.

I wish to express my apologies for my so called "personal attack" earlier. I certainly hope this is an april fool as this story is what i'd imagine to be an attack on the presley name and its looks bad because this site is about Elvis Presley and his Life and Lisa Marie is his daughter!!
