Elvis The Concert 25th Anniversary DVD

September 13, 2006 | Video
Retail distribution issues is the reason the DVD presentation of the 25th anniversary Elvis - The Concert presentation at The Pyramid Arena in Memphis in August 2002 will not be available on general release until January 2007. Released by Coming Home Music the DVD concentrates on Act 2 of the concert plus material from the gospel segment from Act 1 according to an update on the E.I.N. site.

This Concert DVD is awesome especially "Johnny B Goode" where the TCB Band each one plays the instrumental break. I'm glad that my friend bought this in Memphis and sent to me.

I just received mine last night. I think it is spectacular -- especially the bonus section. I did not realize that what is on CD is only Act 2 (or part of Act 2) -- wonder why the entire show was not put on DVD (especially for $29.99!) Also, isn't this the show where Lisa Marie came out and sang "Don't Cry Daddy" -- I had hoped that would be on here too. Nonetheless, I thought it was worth seeing the bonus section. [That was so kind of your friend to send that to you CD King -- aren't Elvis fans great!]

The 25th anniversary concert, represented on the new DVD, is not where Lisa Marie sang "Don't Cry Daddy." Lisa Marie was there; however, she did not sing.

Glad it's available for those who are interested.

It just happens... I saw this yesterday. I must say: "Wow!" The intro where that limousine drives to the stage on the notes of 2001 was magical. Indeed too bad it wasn't taped as a whole concert, but the songs that did make it are wonderfully played and the visuals are mixed very very good! I'm proud to have found this DVD. It's a great recapitulation of what my experience was each time I saw this show in Europe. (and I haven't even seen the bonus material yet! ;-))

Johnny B Goode alone is worth the price of the DVD. Don't Think Twice, It's Alright. Go Grab it.

David the first act was filmed but they didn't put it on the DVD beacause they said it won't work. You can't tell they are making that crap up because it's sonly so they can sell it complete later just to drag your money from you same with the 68 comeback special and Aloha Deluxe Editions.

Until they give us the full show on a dvd, I will be tracking down a bootleg dvd that has a full show on it - and until then I will use YouTube. Sloppy releases from EPE will not be getting my money
