July 25, 2008 | People
Hank Cochran, the legendary songwriter, and member of the The Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, has undergone surgery to remove cancerous tumours from his pancreas. The 72 year old songwriter who penned Patsy Clines "I Fall To Pieces", among many classic country tracks, also wrote "Make The World Go Away", which was recorded by Elvis Presley.

Excuse me if I seem a bit thick, it's been a long day & I'm tired. but is ths the same Hank Cochran who teamed up with Eddie Cochran & performed as The Cochran Brothers in the mid fifties? If it is they produced some great early Rockabilly. I hope he gets well soon & gets over this nasty illness.
