Elvis Ringles

October 23, 2007 | Music
Sony's marketing wizards have cooked up a new format for Christmas; the ringle. Sold at retail, each ringle CD will contain three tracks, and a ring tone. A Ringle may also include additional bonus content-mobile wallpaper and alternate downloadable content. The idea is that if consumers in the digital age can download any tracks they want individually, why not let them buy singles in the store as well? It also enables stores to get involved in the ring tone phenomenon.

Current Elvis titles available are "Love Me Tender", "Blue Christmas" and "Suspicious Minds".

Ringles? Isn't that something you get when you eat too many curries?
