The 70th anniversary of Elvis' birth has seen a flourish in the number of Elvis stamp sets released around the world. Countries which have released sets include several countries in Africa: Cameroon in Africa with a two stamp issue featuring profile shots of Elvis from the 1950s and 1960s. Other African countries are the Congo River which issued a four stamp set featuring full face pictures of The King, and Djibouti's four stamp 'Elvis movie' theme. Gambia weighs in with two 6 stamp 'movie' sheetlets, Liberia went "viva Las Vegas" in its 5 stamp set and the Somali Republic wasn't to be outdone, issuing a 4 souvenir sheet set.
