May 24, 2006 | Video
Several sites mention that negotiations and discussions are still on the way for the potential "Elvis On Ed Sullivan" DVD should for the first time feature all 3 Ed Sullivan shows Elvis performed on plus bonus material. A total of 15 performances from Elvis from September 9, 1956, October 28, 1956 and January 7, 1957 will be made available with the rest of the original shows in a 1-or 2-DVD package (still tbc) mastered with today's technology for optimum sound and picture.

Finally! My prayers have been answered! I just hope this great news will not blow into thin air. And that this will be a forerunner to the other 50's/60's TV shows - Dorsey, Berle & Sinatra - all remastered for optimum quality. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Do you think it will include the missing version of Hound Dog from the last show? It's the only performance I have yet to see.

This is great news. I certainly hope this will come about and that all 3 Ed Sullivan shows will be released complete.

Great great news! Finally a release we havent had a zillion times before and an important part of ELvis history, TV history, and pop culture in general. If they put the same care into this as the The Beatles on Ed Sullivan DVD was, we are in for a treat. All complete shows which should include the seldom seen medley from the third show. Can't wait!
