Elvis Lessons For Dutch Army

December 07, 2010 | Other

Reverends Jean Paul Thöni and Fred Omvlee, both working for the Dutch army, are hosting a two day Elvis workshop for Dutch military personel. "Elvis Did It His Way" is the title for the workshop. Jean Paul Thöni and Fred Omvlee, both Elvis fans, will go explain the problems Elvis faced during his life and how he overcame them, "his way". The course features lots of Elvis music and video clips with the focus on his gospel songs.

Don't believe dutch soldiers need that....They should preach Elvis to the Afghan civilians though. There's life without the Taliban, for sure. Today they only know about the "ghetto" out there...far from "I think I'm gonna like it here"..... Good luck Reverend ! But not with me buddy. The new FTD Promised Land (will become available in Jan 2011 I hear) would be a better tool for the Rev., I'd say.

"the problems Elvis faced during his life and how he overcame them"? If he overcame them he would still be around.

Well said, Martin. I think Elvis is a good example of how not to live your life.
