Elvis In His Own Words

September 26, 2002 | Music
Following the success of the the best selling DVD and video box set The Definitive Elvis (which EPE tries to ban at this moment) the 2 CD-set Elvis in His Own Words is released by Rajon Music Group. This set contains over two hours of recorded interviews, unreleased laughing bouts in the studio, and confessions and revelations in front of the live audience. The packaging for this release is solid with a cardboard slipcase enclosing the two CDs.

Disc 1 is mainly a compilation from the 50s, disk 2 includes the infamous 'drugs' monologue from Las Vegas, candid studio banter, snippets of music, Elvis imitating his contemporaries including Glen Campbell, Bill Cosby and Tom Jones. The epilogue on disc 2 is Elvis reciting 'These Men With Broken Hearts'.
