Elvis In BMW Advertisement

February 18, 2010 | Other

Elvis was a fan of most anything on wheels and the king’s love of cars is featured in a new print advertising campaign from BMW. While serving in the U.S. Army and stationed in Germany, Elvis was known to drive a German made BMW. Through a licensing deal with Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc., a classic photograph that shows Elvis getting into a BMW is the iconic imagery used in this new print ad by the automaker, appearing in the March issue of Vanity Fair.

It is intriguing to see and realise how much Elvis is part of our modern day culture. Though more than 30 years since his death 'he keeps the image alive'. I wonder whether other deceased artists will equally be in the lime lights after so many years! Many businesses use his image readily to make use of his (obvious) positive influence on customers.
