August 21, 2002 | Music
The Austrian magazine 'News' published their weekly issue No. 33 with a special Austrian promotional CD. Unlike the promo audio CD which has been enclosed to the German 'Stern spezial - Biografie' (No 1/2002) this Austrian disc is a CD-plus, an audio CD playable on the CD-player plus CD-ROM for the computer. In contains two songs in full length, 'Suspicious Minds' and 'Burning Love' from the 'ELV1S #1 Hits' CD and the compare versions to present the improved remastered songs. Additionally there are instrumental versions of the two songs for an Austrian Elvis-contest. The CD-ROM part includes a biography, discography, RIAA awards, a gallery of 60 pictures with notes, a quiz, screensaver, the songs and the Karaoke part with songtexts. The picture disc has no special cover.

Elvis is doing great in Austria these days. Radio stations aired special programs, TV stations aired movies, magazines issued articles and news, and 'A Little Less Conversation' made it to No. 3 on the charts. OE3 radio listeners have choosen 'In The Ghetto' as the biggest Elvis hit of all times on August 16. And every fan is waiting for the big festival on October 24 and 25, when 'Elvis - The Concert' will be in Vienna - besides the U.K. the only concert in Europe this year so far.
