Elvis Has Oldest Album On Q Magazine Albumlist

December 02, 2002 | Music
Nirvana's Nevermind has deposed The Beatles from their traditional spot as authors of the world's greatest album. The Seattle trio's 1991 breakthrough release, was ranked top by readers of Q magazine.

The Beatles managed only one place in the top 10, at number three. The Fab Four regularly top such polls with either Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band from 1967 or its predecessor Revolver from the year before. More than half the albums on the list were recorded since 1990. The oldest album in the list is Elvis Presley's eponymous debut from 1956. It came in at 81.

The Top 3 from the Q list of 100 greatest albums ever:
1. Nirvana - Nevermind.
2. Radiohead - OK Computer.
3. The Beatles - Revolver.
