If there would be no more releases of any kind on Elvis Aaron Presley, many would complain! Now this is a real good release and this is for people who are happy with it! Those who just do not want to buy them should at least not be allowed on this greatest Elvis Web Site. Period!

What did I miss? When did tins become the new collecting rage?

With still another release of the "Christmas Peace" collection, I wonder if Sony/BMG ever got around to fixing the omitted piano intro from "Silent Night"?

Should there be no unreleased takes, I will not spend my money for just a TIN.

I think i'll just totally pass on BMG (Buy My Garbage) until they improve. actually they are together with Sony so they should change the name to SMG (sell my garbage) and then Presley fans will come just to have the new label.

I agree they are totally slicing and dicing his catalog but in fairness, the CD market is fast tanking and for some reason these tins (that much closer to a full album size??) offer some kind of collectability "feel" for casual fans who want to think they have a neat collectible. They are mostly found in places like BEST BUY, and in K-Mart and Wal-Mart (in separate rack) and seem like impulse buys for someone to buy when they think that Aunt Marge is an Elvis fan.... A small breed of hard-core ("get everything ever released" Elvis collector fans might also be part of the market. If the CD / record store was in better shape (or even existed like it did a few years ago), I'd be more angry about this watering down of his legacy...

Hey!! Sony/BMG is just trying to improve their profit margin before the cd market goes belly up.
