The Tennessee farm ELVIS PRESLEY bought in 1974 is on the market for $4 million (GBP 2 million). Presley bought the 70-acre estate and owned it until just before his death in 1977. The rural property, which is up for sale on auction website eBay, features a rustic cabin, hay fields, ponds and a barn, and comes with livestock.
The realtors behind the sale are hoping The King's connection to the farmland will prompt a concert promoter to turn the site into a modern day Woodstock.
The sales pitch reads: "The property would make an ideal golf course or concert venue. The natural contour of the acreage would make this farm especially ideal for a concert venue. "It goes without saying that the historic aspects of this farm would make the marketing of a concert venue unlimited and in a league of its own."

From the plans I've read there's no way of keeping/bringing it back in its original state. Too bad but you can't have it all.. Yes Draggypants, I happen to know this particular matter and besides that I love to see my name printed. I even think of launching myself a presidential candidate..

Can somebody fill me in on this subject? I never heard about Elvis buying a farm in 1974. I know about the Circle G Ranch in Mississippi, but this is a new one on me. Thanks.

This property has been listed on eBay consistently since February of this year. It's not the Circle G. Allegedly Vernon bought the property, with Elvis supplying the money, and sold it six days before Elvis died. A title search should reveal Vernon's name, and the sale date should be around August 11, 1977. The property is located in the community called Moscow, Fayette County.
