Elvis Fans United In Fund-Raising For Disaster

September 17, 2001 | Other
Elvis fans worldwide are responding in a big way to the tragic events of September 11 that occurred in New York City and Washington, DC. Several Elvis fan club leaders have started fund-raising efforts and have asked if they could turn the money in to our Elvis Presley Charitable Foundation and have the foundation, in turn, write a check to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund for the full amount raised. They feel it's a way for the Elvis fans to work together to help the cause, to honor Elvis' memory in a meaningful way and to make a real statement about the strength and goodwill of Elvis fans worldwide. EPE liked the idea and said they would be delighted to support them in this effort.

They ask that all donations for this Elvis fan fund drive be made by December 15. Immediately thereafter, the Elvis Presley Charitable Foundation will turn all the funds over to the Red Cross and we'll announce the final amount. The foundation has already made a generous donation, but will do so again by contributing to the fan drive total.

Checks should be made out to The Elvis Presley Charitable Foundation. In the "memo" section of the check, write in American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. Mail your donation to this address:
