Maybe we should email TCM and ask them to show Girl Happy & Kissin Cousins in the proper widescreen ration, instead of old versions that they have used for the last few years. The girl at the start of Girl happy looks about 7ft tall!

Girl Happy is listed twice. Is that right? Very nice TCM.

What a Feast! and why are GIRL HAPPY; Stay Away Joe; LIVE A LITTLE LOVE A LITTLE; Kissin Cousins and ELVIS ON TOUR still not on DVD?? And what is this LITTLE OFF SET?

There are some films which haven't even been officially released on DVD in zone 2 or all regions! (like Girl Happy and Stay Away, Joe) Come on boys! Burn those classics on them discs! We need them, man! ;-)

A few years ago, Turner showed Charro! but I did not have a subscription at the time so I missed the chance to record it. I was really hoping they would show it again this year, but no luck. I was also hoping for 'Tickle Me' but again no luck. In fact these offerings are the same movies that TCM recycle at the rate of one a week over the last year or so, often on a Sunday. Never mind, perhaps BBC2 will show Charro! again sometime. I live in hope of that or a DVD release (a 'real' one that is). And yes, the right aspect ratio would be good. Last time the showed 'Stay Away', it was in the right Aspect, it was fantastic. Luckily I recorded that one on DVD. I will set the recorder just in case, but the last Turner showings of 'Girl Happy', 'Kissin Cousins' and 'Live a Little etc' were all in the dreaded 4:3 cropped versions.

The TCM print of Speedway looked gorgeous a few weeks ago.

it's a shame I don't have TCM anymore, but it's a real delight I recorded lots of elvis movies from TCM on dvd! and fortunately I didn't miss Charro on the BBC a lot of years ago, now I have a copy on dvd.
