Nothing new... but I like the idea.
japio wrote on May 14, 2009
They "borrowed" everything. The idea, the tracks. Useless release, there's nothing creative on this C.R.A.P. .Only positive is the songs.

hahahaha Japio, yeah, but the Stereo 57 was a smash wasn´t it :-( Ik like the idea very much and it sounds cool!!

Why does elvisnews.com continue to dignify these absolute garbage releases of compiled crap which is already out there either in past commercial or FTD release? Are we so hard up for something to push or talk about that we have to revert to promoting this garbage? Please, enough already. I can make up my own CD's much as these bogus outfits do on my own computer.

Cruiser... don't shoot the messenger: EN is just a news site!
dgirl wrote on May 14, 2009
Apparently the message isnt out that Elvis has been dead for almost 32 years and it is pitiful that a release like this can actually stir some hope that there may be something of merit on it. Give it up. It aint gonna happen anymore. There is nothing left. I do not look forward to any new release unless someone can assure me a whole new tape of recordings have been discovered. As much as I love my Elvis records, I have been resigned to discovering music and artists which I have always neglected before, and it has been amazing how much good music Ive never heard before. There is a world of music out there waiting to be discovered other than take 6 of It Aint No Big Thing.
Steve V wrote on May 14, 2009
dgirl makes a lot of sense. I have discovered many new (and older) artists over the last few years that 'round me out' musically speaking. I too dont get excited about outtakes and soundboards of basically the same concert anymore. There is no new Elvis music so its nice to hear new music I havent heard before. I cant be stuck in a time warp anymore.
mature_elvis_fan75 wrote on May 14, 2009
Steve.Dgirl,of course your right, but you are going to get some rants of people asking you why you come here,i use to get excited about new Elvis releases but thats before i found out that most of the concers were carbon copys,i dont say this to be negative etc,i as a fan wished is had not been that way, there are a few possible releases that im interested in,such as a On Tour set,Another Aug 1970 show(id take 2 or3) and a complete rehearsal from july 1970,but as for most things that are coming out i cant say i get excited!
James69 wrote on May 14, 2009
Cruiser621, why not talk about these releases?? They ain't no different than the countless SONY/BMG Elvis compilations that flood the market, and they are the main Elvis label! Many Sony/Bmg compilations are pure C-R-A-P, but thats ok to talk about, but not the imports?? Keep up the good work Elvisnews, and keep reporting the Elvis news of all kinds.

probably you should consider to search for sites concerning other artists and somebody on this website with the same old story again and over again. i'm not a bit interested in what you have to say about other artists and how good they are and how bad elvis was in the 70's, which he was not,. you have no idea what's left in faults or you were there offcourse to see. getting real fed-up with this negative vibe here on this website. and believe me i'm not the only one who thinks this way. this is a place for elvis fans lets keep it that way
Ciscoking wrote on May 14, 2009
Plain C-R-A-P....no more,...no less...!!!! But ElvisNews has the obligation to inform us about anything!
mature_elvis_fan75 wrote on May 14, 2009
No one said Elvis was bad, they were just honest,as for the vaults, cant you guess what is there, same setlist as most concerts, its just being honest, weres the bad vibe? no one is being nasty with eachother well untill, come on welike Elvis or we would not bother coming here, you can buy every release no one is stopping you, just have fun! peace out now!
Steve V wrote on May 14, 2009
Mature - no need to defend me, but thanks. Jesse is right - I have no idea whats left in the vaults, but after 32 years I have a pretty good idea. Nothing! Thats why I dont wait for these type of releases, but have discovered different music in my life. These releases are just made for a quick buck for (I hate to say it) the sucker Elvis fans who buy everything. To say Im not a fan because I listen to other artists is crazy. I play Elvis all the time along with many other artists every week and I like the balance. I like the mix in my CD player. If you prefer take 4 of For Ol Time's Sake, fine, go for it, but prepared to hear other fans feel differently without reacting so harshly or it is you who should not visit the site to hear other points of view..
mature_elvis_fan75 wrote on May 14, 2009
I know steve, but it does get old being told you belong elsewere when your a fan but a fan who doesnt go nuts over every release,i admit use to do that myself but found out that many of the releases were just collecting dust, with that said you will find plenty of Elvis on my shelfs!
japio wrote on May 14, 2009
News is news. And C'meverybody . What has stereo 57 has to do with this news.I don't know what s'hapened to that cd.But ok .The difference is this is a import with nothing new on it. But why do you defend these makers of this cd ? Explain why ?
dgirl wrote on May 14, 2009
There is nothing wrong with a critique of a release, or an Elvis song if thats how you feel. You should be free to do that on this site without being told to leave. As I said, when a friend who is a casual fan suggests an artist's CD to me, I dont dismiss it. Im open to it and sometimes I like it and sometimes I dont. If I like it, it doesnt make me less of a fan. And if I suggest that maybe , just maybe its better than all these rip-off outtake CDs that doesnt me less of a fan either. Elvis fans should be open to all types of music just like Elvis was. But I agree with Steve V, there is nothing left unless someone has a tape stuffed in their attic.

Okay, nothing new but I like this release.

Having been a fan since i was 11 i collected everything, the vinyl, the bootlegs, videos, dvd's cd's you name it - i got it duplication or not. However in the last 3 years or so i've bought the stuff, played it once and put it on the shelf. I now get more excited when a new Wilco, Rascal Flatts or Keith Urban CD gets released. I bought Led Zep stuff and it blew me away - that;s real rock n roll - not Three corn patches. I love the Beatles and when you put the headphones on and listen to the craftsmanship, the superb playing the production it blows most of Elvis stuff out of the water. I used to be what is called a jumpsuit junkie. But now I have got sick of hearing the same old soundboards. The same old song lists. I've given away close to sixty soundboard boots recently. This post will anger some - fair enough. Elvis will always be my number one and as a fan i'm entitled to my opinion.
Jerome-the-third wrote on May 14, 2009
you know what? I guess that FTD's in control now with studio material and soundboards. all the rest are just going to be releases like this- gathering great alternate takes with great packaging perhaps but contentwise nothing new..
Mofoca22 wrote on May 15, 2009
i dont know why people are complaining you dont have to buy it if you dont want to. and another thing hello elvis died in 1977 his last studio recordings were october 76, his last concert jun 26, 1977 there isnt anything new thats gonna come put only outtakes and i am happy with just that. elvis is the king dont forget that. in 32 years half the performers around now will be forgotten 32 years from now elvis will still be remebered. get over it people . elvis fans are the most narcistic buncgh around no wonder why the guy died so young he had to please some of you suckers nonstop
SilviaZ wrote on May 15, 2009
You are so right, Mofoca22! I agree with you 100%.
japio wrote on May 15, 2009
Mofoca. it's not the fans.It the guys from label as this one or Hard luck or whatever. That's why there are complanis. Even the cover is realy bad. I saw it big somewhere online. And Elvis has one blue and one brown eye.Even that can't they do right. And ofcourse youre right . Most of the fans complains about everything.Even before they heard it. But believe these makers of this C.R.A.P .( except the songs) are not Elvis fans. But make ripoffs with nothing new ,but they cash their money.I think a real import label like Madison released this we had 1. new material,2 . great artwork. You can make this for youself .There are free software and it cost almost nothing. That's why they complain.if they use some few tracks .Then it would be intresting. Until now uselaess

As some of you say it, there is nothing new. I don't by CD's anymore. Hardly listen to it. Neither I do downloads. Recently I was browsing thru "Goodbye Memphis" on...youtube. In my eyes, the best release these past month were the Christmas Duets. And yes, 32 years after his, there's nothing left in the vaults. As they did not have recorded July 31 opening night. Tunzis interviews CD and Opening Night, along with rehearsals for the show would have made a perfect CD package. Anyone?
mature_elvis_fan75 wrote on May 15, 2009
So now us fans are to blame for his downfall? and were narcistic? all because we dont like a so called release from some silly so called import label! If anything his fans were too easy to please and were more impressed with his looks and charisma than his singing, which was pretty good i think!
Shakingruud wrote on May 15, 2009
Cool cover!!! I saw it on ebay and this CD really has some great artwork. I like releases like this, can´t help it :-)
japio wrote on May 19, 2009
shakingruud .that's why this C.R.A.P is been coming.you know why i guess .But tell me how many releases do you want .Explain why do you are positive why? Only the idea ?? or is there more about this one. Give me a few reasons why i should buy this one. Again i like the songs.Thats only the positive about this one.
