According to Amazon RCA will release Elvis' Christmas Album on vinyl on November 26, 2007. The 180 gram vinyl version comes from "Speaker's Corner" and includes a centerfold album of full-color photos.
Synopsis:
The King recorded his first Christmas album in sessions of September 5-7, 1957 at Radio Recorders in Hollywood. It was simply entitled Elvis' Christmas Album and was released in October 1957. It initially hit No. 1 for four weeks on Billboard's pop album chart and revisited the chart due to strong sales in subsequent holiday seasons through 1962.

As a fan I am fastidious mainly to quality reasons, and not to spend money on nonsens stuff flooding the market. This is however a ESSENTIAL VINYL RELEASE from Speakers Corner. Every EP album they make come from a fresh analog copy directly from New York made from the original master. The cutting gear is Neumann and analog all the way thru the signal chain down to the vinyl itself. These vinyls from Speakers Corner are the ONLY match to originals and might even surpass the sound due to better cutting gear today. Hence the gear in the 50s 60s could get about 75% out of a master, and today you might get 95% of a master or 1st generation copy. Ok, the original tapes today are of course older, but I believe the advantage is reason enough accept. The only way to further improve these releases is to split them on 2 separate discs, and by that giving more room with wider tracks and superior sound. It´s just a question of time who will do this first, but I truly hope Speakers Corner takes the chance first, avoiding other obscure vinyl releases confuse the customers with audio talk that cant be backed up the way Speakers Corner actually can. Anyway, keep up the good job ´till then.... ;)

Ps: The total time for this particular Lp is 30 minutes. (15 minutes per side) so in this case it is perfect(!) and no need to make 2 discs.
